One cup is for smelling and the other one for tasting.
I tasted 5 different teas : Oolong with ginseng, Beijing local Jasmine, Puer Tea from South China, black tea w/ lychee & fruits mixed with rose tea…it’s Ok to slurp at ones tea (as loud as possible) as it helps to taste better by aerating it, its a traditional way of drinking it in some regions here in China. Some etiquette never hurts.
Lying on the north-south axis line of Beijing City, Bell and Drum Towers are visibly prominent constructions and represent the symbol of this old city.
The bell and the drum were originally used as musical instruments in China. Afterward, however, they were used for telling time helping people live and work regularly when there was no other means to keep track of the time. As a result, the towers holding the bell and the drum became public architectures, and were widely constructed in almost every city throughout the country since the Han Dynasty. In the history of their construction, they are the largest and highest. Their layout is unique, not as the traditional sense of standing right-and-left horizontally.
A place that takes you to the heart of Chinese culture through a tea ceremony to awake every sense and your heart.
