Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, CO

Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, the only conspiracy I tend to believe nowdays is this one between mother nature and music. Can you believe that these amazing red rock formations create top-notch acoustics for outdoor concerts? This venue is hands down one of the most iconic places I’ve been to. I was marked for life (literally, I got a stunning sunburn – in patches- in my back & rest of the body lol), but back to the story. In about an hour, I left the desert and found myself facing a snowy mountain! Right in the limit of …

Golden Gai, Shinjuku

I visited the Ace’s bar, actually twice during my trip. The 1st time, I sat by the bar, asked for a Yebisu beer and for the story behind a Colorado’s plate that was casually hanging by the liquor bottles. The owner/bartender, Tsuyoshi smiled. He then told me that he opened this place after returning from a four-year stint in Colorado. He thought if he’d moved back to Japan, he’d have to take a piece of CO with him. So, he opened his bar in the Golden Gai area and hanged …
